March 2005 Teammania actor in Australian Film: The Extra We are very proud of all our actors. They are hand-picked with care for their talent as actors with great improvisational and facilitation skills. As many of you who have experienced our actors in action, you would agree that it is a rare to find such a mix of talents. Many are fabulous stage and screen actors, too. We are like proud parents waiting to see our Raj Ryan appearing in Jimeoin's new feature film called "The Extra". Raj plays the role of Simon Jones as one of Jimeoin's wannabe actors. The movies is due for release in Australia in April 2005. Clients in USA and the UK should refer to their guides for release dates, or make sure you're on the Teammania mailing list. Teammania actress, Shayne Francis, is also appearing in All Saints as Detective Sergeant Jan Colbert. Shayne is excellent in this role as anyone who has seen her before on TV or with Teammania would expect. "We use professionally trained working actors in Teammania. This not only improves the success of your events, but their well-honed skills will help bring out the best dynamics in your team", says Chris Tarakson.

April 2003 Teammania in Australia The time is close when Dial M is contemplating a name change in Australia. "It's a very hard decision to make", says Chris Tarakson, "Dial M is so well known in Australia and is the longest continually running murder mystery company in the country. And that is the reason why we need a new image. Many clients only view Dial M as providing murder mysteries only, which is of course no longer the case". Although Dial M will continue as the Murder Mystery arm of our company, Teammania will become the name you will be doing business with over the coming months. "As Teammania in the USA, we don't even offer the murder mysteries in the States at this stage". The number of options we offer is smaller, but we are adding more flexibility with our current solutions. At this stage, Chris is doing all of the traveling to the international events and working with local colleagues or licensees. It's tiring, but it's the only way to ensure that the growth is matched with quality presentations to clients and facilitated with well-trained locals". We are still working on the Teammania.com.au site. Until then this Dial M site will be our principal site in OZ. Our international web site will remain at www.teammania.com. So there you have it. When you hear from this "new kid on the block" called Teammania, you can rest assured that you will have the same attention and quality that you have always experienced with Dial M Events. With Chris and Toni at the helm, and Kate in the office, and our fantastic actors Steve, Roger, Raj, Janine, David and Rob you know that your next Teammania (or Dial M!) event will be a great success.
January 2002 Dial M (aka Teammania) success in the USA January 2002, saw the Dial M off for its fifth trip to the USA, now under its international banner of Teammania. The Teammania name was chosen for 2 reasons. "Firstly, there is already a US company called Dial M! Secondly, and more significantly, it did not reflect the nature of the service we were providing to our overseas clients. The name Dial M is founded in our murder mystery origins and we are not offering murder mysteries to our international clients. There is a plethora of mystery companies in the States and UK and there is little point in being a "me too", even though the way we do our murder mysteries is more involving and therefore more successful than the normal formula. Call us and we'll tell you how", offers Chris Tarakson. The Teammania events are basically those found in our Team Activities page here and are unique in Australia and around the world. Sure, there are team activities everywhere, but this unique combination of entertainment and team skills is very rare and the international clients are loving them.
May 2001 Dial M Events in Malaysia In May, Dial M Events organised their premier event in Penang for one of their clients B. Braun. "We had the same nerves as we did prior to the first event in the USA. This time our concern was the predominantly Chinese and Indian clientele. Would our product be accepted well? Would language prove to be a problem? Would the hotel meet our specific needs to run the event?", explained co-owner of Dial M, Toni Cary. The result was a brilliant success. The recently renovated Penang hotel , the Eastern & Oriental, bent over backwards to make the event a success. They were very professional. "The client group was hilarious", said Dial M facilitator Chris Tarakson. "The team that was playing "Southern Glacial Territories" (basically "Australia") decided to sing Waltzing Matilda during the event. Listening to a group of Chinese, Indian and Malays singing a song where they only knew the title words was a memory I'll keep for ever".
April 2000 Dial M Events in the USA Dial M Events has run it's largest and most challenging Power Play event in Miami earlier this year for Eastman Software. "It's no so much that the event was for 120 delegates that was stressful, it was concern over the acceptance of a US company and its team", said Chris Tarakson. There were some minor changes made to the event, mainly in the names of the roles to reflect the nature of corporate America. "It was thrilling for me to watch an American company embrace Power Play with as much zeal as any of our Aussie clients". Since then Dial M Events has run another Power Play in Boston for MetraTech, a high tech e-business company. The results were the same ... great fun, fantastic acceptance by the delegates. As a result, Dial M Events has started the long road of setting up formal arrangements in the USA. In the USA the Dial M Events team games will be available under the name of Teammania and its website www.teammania.com. "We will only be offering our Team Games in the US market. From what we have personally experienced in the USA, even though our murder mystery events offer more depth in preparation, detail and audience involvement than their local equivalents, the corporate clients seem well catered for in that genre", explains Chris.
